Turmeric, Ginger & Sweet Potato Hummus
This is such a great savoury snack. As well as tasting good, it is naturally high in fibre which is essential for good gut health. We love using Superkraut as an ingredient in recipes whenever we can. This recipe is quick and easy.
Turmeric and Ginger Sweet potato hummus
Ingredients:
•1 cup sweet potato, cubed and roasted or steamed until tender
•1 tin chickpeas, rinsed and drained
•1 Tbsp tahini
•1 garlic clove
•½ lemon juiced
•½ tsp cinnamon
•¼ tsp ginger
•¼ tsp turmeric
•1/8 tsp nutmeg
•¼ tsp salt
•¼ tsp black pepper
•1 – 2 Tbsp Turmeric and Ginger Superkraut
•Cold water to blend
Method:
1. Place all ingredients in your food processor and process to combine.
2. Add in water slowly until you get your desired consistency of hummus. Less water gives a
thicker paste and more water gives a creamier texture.
3. Scoop out and serve with fresh crunchy vegetable sticks, favourite oatcakes or crackers. Top with extra Superkraut.
